How do I know when I need new batteries?
If your Roomba doesn’t run for as long as it once did you probably need to buy a new battery. Your Roomba should be able to clean for at least an hour with a fully charged battery, and the battery should charge in less than 3 hours. If you notice that your Roomba doesn’t seem to suck up as much dirt and the vacuum is weak then that is another sign a new battery is needed. Roomba Maintenance
Performing simple maintenance and replacing parts on your Roomba can increase the lifespan of your Roomba and help keep your home clean. Make sure you take the air filter out after each cleaning so that you can remove the built up fuzz, it’s very similar to the lint trap in your dryer. Use the Roomba cleaning tool to easily cut and remove threads and hairs that get wrapped around the brush. Every couple months you should replace the filter, and replace your brushes every year.

Roomba Chargers
Your Roomba is a smart little robot, it knows when it starts to get low on battery life in a cleaning cycle and can automatically return to a dock and recharge. Of course you can keep it simple and just manually plug the charger into the Roomba when done vacuuming. The speed of the charge does depend on the type of battery and charger you are using, but should not take more than 3 hours.
